Success…What it takes to Succeed

Success doesn’t come by doing what is easy. Success comes from doing what has to be done…sometimes when you want to do it least!

I’m going to lay it on the line here. It’s been a year since I won The Biggest Loser. I’ve had great success keeping the weight off. The reason for that is because after the prize was won and I was at my goal weight I continued to drag myself out of bed and go to the gym…sometimes, and in fact most times, when I didn’t want to do it at all. Here’s the kicker…I’ve gained 12 pounds in the last month and a half. I’ve found myself eating when traveling and grabbing a snack whenever I "feel like it." I’ve not hit the pavement and run like I should. Lately I’ve succumbed to the temptation to not work out instead of do what needs to be done when I didn’t want to do it. That, my friends, has lead to Danny C weighing 12 pounds more than he should. It’s 6:00 AM on a Sunday as I "write" this, and this is the time I start to "right" this!

From now until finale, I am going to drink NOTHING but water, teas and coffee instead of the junk I have been drinking. I’m going to eat good, health foods…like I learned on The Biggest Loser…and like I haven’t been doing. These things are not easy. They are the right things to do and they lead to success. I’m "Losing My Regrets" and making that change I need to make so that when you see me at finale next month you can say "Danny is succeeding at keeping that weight off!" I’m not perfect, I’m just going to do what needs to be done when it is not always my favorite thing to do! And I think I’m going to run another marathon next year! Not that’s doing what’s not easy for the path to success!

What are you not doing because it’s not the easy thing to do? Could you simple walk 30 minutes a day? Yes…it might mean missing Wheel of Fortune, but it will also start you on your road to success. Could you stop drinking pop and start drinking water and unsweetened tea? It’s not the easy thing to do, but it will lead you to success. Could you wake up an hour earlier and get some work done that you’ve been putting off? Could you arrive at meetings 15 minutes early with something to read and fill your mind with mana? Could you fix those gutters that have needed to be fixed for 3 years? Could you decide to succeed rather than settle on failing? The choice is yours, and it’s not an easy one…but it’s worth it! Join me on a path to success today!
